Mulcair brings his Campaign for Change to Halifax

Today, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair brought his Campaign for Change to Halifax, where he highlighted the Party’s plans to help middle-class families get ahead and introduced his dynamic team of incumbents and new candidates who will bring change in Ottawa.

“In this election, it is the NDP that has the plan and experience to defeat and replace Stephen Harper’s Conservatives,” said Mulcair. “Our concrete plans to help families get ahead with affordable $15-per-day childcare; to lower taxes for small business; and to promote Halifax as a tourist destination, are just a few of the ways we will support jobs and the local economy.”

Mulcair said that NDP MPs have been working tirelessly on the priorities of Nova Scotia residents. From protecting the marine environment and our coastal communities; to defending veterans from Stephen Harper’s cuts to veterans programs. An NDP government will do better and ensure that the women and men of our Armed Forces are treated fairly and with the dignity and gratitude they have earned.

“Stephen Harper’s plan isn’t working. He’s got the wrong priorities for Nova Scotia and the wrong priorities for Canada,” said Mulcair. “We’ll work hard to help families get ahead and we will help lift 200,000 seniors out of poverty. These are our priorities.”

It is no wonder that more and more Canadians are putting their trust in Tom Mulcair and the NDP to bring change to Ottawa.
