Liberals are proud of their fiscal record?

Today, the Liberal Party was trumpeting its fiscal record.

After looking at the Department of Finance’s Fiscal Reference Tables, we can see that the Liberals have one of the worst records in provincial and federal governments of balancing the books.

Since 1980, Liberal governments have balanced the books 26.6% of the time, Conservatives 41.3% of the time and the NDP 47.7% of the time.

That’s on their record.
