Justin Trudeau, serial flip-flopper – the marijuana edition

Over the last several months, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau has made one thing clear: whatever the issue is, he is willing to change his mind about it. His party has no plan, and he won’t tell Canadians what he really intends to do.

Take marijuana, for example. It’s after all a central piece of Justin Trudeau’s political discourse since becoming leader.

“The current approach on drugs is a failure. It’s not keeping it from the hands of our kids.(…) It’s time to legalize it.” Justin Trudeau, Winnipeg Free Press Editorial Interview, October 2013

This position is now a well-known one. But four years ago, on June 8th, 2009, Justin Trudeau voted for the opposite of that position, supporting a Conservative bill that implemented harsher sentences for cannabis related offences.

So whatever happens this weekend, don’t forget: there is nothing Justin Trudeau won’t back down on. He has shown his poor judgement time and time again.

Canadians deserve better.
