It just keeps growing: the Conservatives’ insatiable demand for taxpayer-funded advertising

For the first five years that the Conservatives were in power, they spent almost half a billion dollars on government-funded advertising -- and 2012-13 looks like it will be another big year.

According to Treasury Board documents, the Conservatives have approved $63.6 million in advertising for the first half of the year alone.

If that trend continues, 2012-13 will be the second-highest year of government advertising on record.
