Conservative Failure Trio - #Breaking
Yesterday three Conservative Ministers who have mastered the art of failure had a chance to pick up their game. Here’s what happened:
Julian Fantino:
- When asked about his failure to improve the lives of Veterans and the failures outlined by the Auditor General he responded “I attended a very moving commemoration in Italy.”
- When asked to resign he said “the party opposite has consistently voted against our initiatives.”
- The PMO has now deployed a senior staff member to place the Minister’s office under third party management.
Leona Aglukkaq
- When asked about people in her riding desperate for food, she read the newspaper.
- When asked about her denial that people are eating out of a dump, she read the newspaper.
- When asked what she would do to help people in Rankin Inlet, she read the newspaper.
Gerry “Gerry” Ritz
- When asked about the possible privatization of the Canadian Wheat Board, he responded “the only thing more pathetic than that question were the first three he asked here today.”
- Still hasn’t gotten western grain moving.
Honourable mention:
- “Question period is not the time to ask about it.” - Candice Bergen
Canadians deserve better.
