Canada should secure a hub for the yuan in North America

The NDP has written a letter to the Minister of Finance to encourage the federal government to secure a currency trading hub for the Chinese yuan in Canada.

“As the yuan is increasingly becoming a global currency, there would be great advantage to the Canadian economy to secure the first North American settlement centre,” writes NDP Industry critic, Peggy Nash (Parkdale—High Park).
