In 2016, we successfully pushed Parliament to recognize equal pay for women as a human right, secured all-party support for our plan to end discrimination against First Nations children, and to expand EI coverage for vulnerable workers.

We also pressured the government to reverse their plan to override provincial consumer protection rights, and united all opposition parties to recommend moving our electoral system to a proportional one, where every vote counts.

Instead of looking out for hard-working Canadians and their communities, Ottawa is letting private and corporate interests set the government’s priorities.

• Putting an end to cash-for-access fundraisers, so that access to the Prime Minister can’t be sold to Corporate CEOs and multi-millionaires.
