Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, write, and edit engaging content for web, email, video, social media, and other digital platforms
• Develop, calendar, and write fundraising, engagement, and mobilization emails to supporters
• Ensure written materials follow political messaging and standards for brand voice and tone
• Vary language, tone, and level of message based on the intent of the product
• Collaborate with digital team members to develop compelling and effective end product
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion
• Exceptional English-language written communication skills
• Innately curious and creative, with a desire to embrace a steep learning curve
• A unique, personal, and developed writing style
• Uncanny ability to “nail it” on the first take
• 3+ years relevant work experience for a consumer brand, brand-oriented agency, or on political campaigns
• Political campaign experience an asset
• Knowledge of the New Democratic Party, its history, policies, and of Canadian politics in general
• Bilingualism an asset

Annual salary

To be determined based on experience. This is a contract position to December 2019.
