Wayne Stetski, MP - Administrative Assistant, Temporary, Part-Time Position (January 2, 2018, to February 2, 2018, 12 hrs/week)

Responsibilities
- Administer and log incoming phone calls, emails, faxes and walk-in traffic
- Maintain database lists
- General administrative and reception duties
- Maintain office security system as it relates to access cards, keys etc. (activate/deactivate as required)
- Assist with Member’s constituency-related correspondence
- Assist in distribution of mailings
- Assist in coordination of Member’s schedule
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Proven communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills including Internet, Windows and MS Office
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Kootenay—Columbia riding and riding priorities
- Knowledge of the New Democratic Party and sound political judgement
- Knowledge of the labour movement, government departments and community organizations
- Familiarity with social media (eg. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
- Familiarity with desktop publishing software, graphic layout skills, an asset
- Knowledge of databases, an asset
- Bilingualism, an asset
Hourly rate
$24.79
(salary levels subject to clauses 12 and 21 of the collective agreement)
