Job Summary

The Fundraising Phone Professional is someone who is compassionate and patient, who has the ability to listen to individuals and relate to them while leading the conversation towards a targeted fundraising ask. This person would be able to talk on the phone for a number of hours consistently, having a variety of conversations while not being dissuaded by any comments (in fact the individual should have the knowledge and confidence to turn any situation around). The ideal caller would be someone with a positive attitude, results driven, and a ‘never give up’ outlook.

Fundraising Professionals should have knowledge of the NDP in order to answer questions and provide stewardship. Training will be provided.

Duties

• Obtain and record supporter contributions
• Organize and keep track of contact information
• Raise awareness about the Party’s work
• Speak naturally about policy and creatively from the heart

Qualifications

• Bilingualism an asset
• Independently motivated
• Professional verbal and communication skills
• Convey passionate and value-driven messages appropriately
• Excellent client service and people skills
• Experience in telephone fundraising an asset
• Knowledge of the policies of the New Democratic Party an asset
• Ability to work in a co-operative and team environment
• Ability to maintain courteous demeanour at all times

Details

This position is 32 hours/week, Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 11pm. Hourly wage will be $17/hour plus benefits.
