Logistics and Data Support Officer, Permanent, Full-Time Position

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Outreach Officers in organizing outreach opportunities across Canada
  • Provide logistical support for events, tour, and outreach meetings
  • Collaborate with the Outreach Officers to advance the NDP caucus goals and agenda
  • Support the issue-based campaigns work as set out by the Outreach Officers
  • Work with the data team to analyze issue-based campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Support the work of the Outreach Officers to analyze the effectiveness of outreach plans that communicate the work of the NDP Caucus in the House of Commons
  • Work with Members of Parliament and the Leader’s Office to organize tours and events
  • Follow up on events and tours to evaluate and ensure impact is maximized
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in outreach, media and communications, event planning and issue based campaigns
  • Experience of databases and data analysis
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) and good political judgment
  • Proven ability to work with little supervision
  • Experience working with complex spreadsheets, and other data reporting systems
  • Knowledge of contemporary Canadian politics and parliamentary system
  • Familiarity with the New Democratic Party, its policies and structure
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in an open and creative team environment
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel if required
  • Bilingualism, an asset

Salary

$58,657
(salary levels subject to clauses 12 and 21 of the collective agreement)
