HFX09

Betsy Myers

Delivering the winning message is vital in politics. The best policies, brightest vision and most charismatic leadership won’t lead to victory if the message isn’t powerful and clear.

Perhaps no one has delivered a message as powerful as Barack Obama. His message of hope and change captured the imagination of Americans and the world.

It was Obama’s ability to engage voters and connect with Americans of many backgrounds that paved the way for his victory. And while Obama’s oratory, charisma and personal story drove his success, crafting and delivering the message went beyond Obama himself.

That’s where Obama’s tight-knit inner-circle came in, including Betsy Myers, Senior Advisor and Chief Operating Officer. Myers and the team helped design and deliver the consistent and disciplined campaign message of the Obama for America campaign.

In this final HFX09 showcase, Myers will be joined in conversation by Brian Topp, the New Democrat campaign director in the 2006 and 2008 federal elections. This intimate look into Obama’s communications strategy will prove invaluable as we prepare for the next federal election here in Canada.
